MINUTE REPEATING, MOON PHASE, TRIPLE DATE CALENDAR & CHRONOGRAPH Globo (Emile Gander & Fils, La Chaux-de-Fonds), Swiss, "Répétition à Minutes Quantième Phases Lunaire Chronographe ½ Chronometre", No. 100643. Made circa 1910. Fine, large, minute-repeating, hunting-cased, keyless 18K pink gold pocket watch with triple date calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
Four-body, "bassine", polished, button at 12 for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with prize medals and technical details, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and 1/5th of a second chronograph divisions calibrated to 300, subsidiary seconds, date, days of the week and months dials, aperture for the moon phases. Gilt Louis XVI hands. Cal. 20''', frosted gilt, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph work, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case and cuvette signed.
