Notes

Launched in 1967 as part of the Grand Seiko line, the 44GS was designed by Taro Tanaka inspired by a concept called "The Grammar of Design" that favored flat surfaces and perfectly angled geometry to reflect light thus eliminating distortion. Produced for only 2 years, this example is part of the early first series featuring the Diashock signature. Preserved in overall excellent condition, it is considered by collectors as the most important Grand Seiko ever produced.

Property of a Japanese collector
