Part of the Grand Seiko series known as VFA (for very fine adjusted), this early example features the applied logo only (later models would feature VFA printed on the dial) and is equipped with the wonderful caliber 6185A. In order to compete with some of the most precise watches made by the Swiss industry, Seiko embarqued on a quest to create great chronometer movements that would achieve a rate of +/- 1 minute per month such as this watch. An extremely rare and early version of the VFA line that has etched its place in chronometer history.
