Notes

The Double Tourbillon 30° represents the inaugural creation of master watchmakers Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey, who founded their eponymous manufacture in 2004. This revolutionary timepiece features their first and most iconic invention: a double tourbillon mechanism with one cage inclined at 30° rotating in 60 seconds inside another cage completing a revolution every four minutes. Number 24, made in 18K white gold, is part of the extremely limited original production series, with only 144 pieces created between 2004 and 2010 in 18K pink gold, white gold, and platinum. This example is one of the earliest versions of what would later become Greubel Forsey’s hallmark masterpiece in haute horlogerie. The movement architecture was specifically designed to showcase the mechanical ballet of the coupled tourbillon carriages, allowing full appreciation of its exceptional hand finishing and technical innovation. This groundbreaking regulator system demonstrably improves chronometric performance by averaging out positional errors due to gravity. The privileged new connoisseur of this lot shall receive a complimentary new strap and service rights certificate from Greubel Forsey offering maintenance service. This certificate remains valid for six months following the date of acquisition at Antiquorum.
