SILVER SINGING BIRD BOX Attributed to Griesbaum, Germany. Made circa 1950. Fine, rococo-style, silver and painted-on enamel singing bird box. Accompanied by a key.

Two-body, serpentine rectangular, cast silver, the top and sides chased with scrolling foliage and birds, the bird cover cast with a bird flanked by cornucopia, bird-form activation slide. Rectangular brass, going barrel and rectangular bellows, the revolving bird with moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by two cams mounted beneath the barrel wheel, gilt brass grill pierced and engraved with foliage.
