GUINAND CAPTAIN'S WATCH SILVER Guinand, Swiss, No. 8059, made for the chinese market circa 1870. Fine and very unusual silver dual-time watch with double jump-second with a Ulmann winding key. Accompanied by wooden stand.
Two-body, polished. White enamel, two small symmetrical dials for two time zones with Roman numerals, subsidiary dial for jumping constant seconds. Blued-steel hands. 48 mm.(21```), foliate engraved gilt "Chinese" Tixier caliber, shaped single wheel bridge, free-standing barrel, Jacot-type Chinese duplex escapement, three-arm monometallic balance with blued steel winged weights, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
