DUMONT GUINAND QUARTER REPEATER TWO-TRAIN INDEPENDANT CENTER-SECONDS POCKET WATCH YELLOW GOLD Dumont Guinand, Swiss, No. 1232. Made circa 1890. Very fine, keyless, hunting-case quarter-repeating, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with independent center-seconds.

Four-body, "bassine", solid, polished, gold hinged cuvette. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds dial, independent center-seconds. Blued steel spade hands 42mm. rhodium plated, 27 jewels, two-train, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Case signed, case numbered.
