A commemorative medal in gilded bronze, made circa 1969-1970, by H. Körner (Augsburg), struck in honour of the Moon mission Apollo XI (July 21, 1969); ribbon and metallic clip missing.

On the obverse, the inscription: “Apollo XI – 21.VII.1969”.

Although this medal is not directly related to watchmaking, it is a beautiful object related to the Apollo XI lunar mission and a “must have” for collectors of “Speedmasters” from the Swiss manufacturer Omega.
