HENRY GREANJEAN TRIPLE CALENDAR QUARTER-REPEATING GOLD H. Grandjean & Cie., Locle, Swiss, No. 25284, made for the Spanish market, circa 1880. Very fine 18 ct. gold, hunting cased, keyless, quarter repeating, moon phase astronomical watch with triple calendar.

Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", fully engraved with a bright-cut floral and foliage decoration. Gold cuvette engine-turned and engrave with a floral decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for the months, the days of the week, the dates and the subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Gold paste-set hands. Glazed 19-, nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band.
