Anita Porchet, born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, began her professional career in the mid-1990s. Her early projects included creating enamel paintings for pocket watches and reviving the paillonné technique for Jaquet-Droz. These challenges allowed her to perfect various enamelling methods through extensive research and practice. In 1994, she established her own workshop, where she not only creates masterpieces but also teaches and preserves the art of enamelling. Porchet’s exceptional skill in multiple techniques - cloisonné, champlevé, miniature painting, paillonné, plique-à-jour, and email Grand Feu - eventually caught the attention of prestigious watchmakers. Her collaborations with renowned brands such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Piaget, Fabergé, Hermès, and Chanel solidified her reputation in the industry. Her ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with artistic vision has established her as one of the most sought-after enamelists in the watchmaking industry, bridging the gap between horology and fine art. Porchet’s contributions to the field were recognized in 2015 when she received the prestigious Gaïa Award, acknowledging her significant impact on the art of watchmaking and enamelling. Over time, Anita Porchet’s craft has evolved into a distinctive style, prompting clients to request her signature work. She uses two different signatures: 
‘‘A. Porchet’’: Used for bespoke unique pieces created entirely by herself. 
‘‘A. P.’’: Used for small series produced in the artist’s studio. 
Both signatures indicate her personal involvement in the creation process, from start to finish, maintaining the artist’s ethical standards of craftsmanship.
