Notes

Double-face astronomical watches with manually operated calendar indications are among the most sophisticated and unusual horological creations of the period. The present example combines a perpetual calendar with the age and phases of the moon, equation of time and day-length indications, all arranged between the two faces of the watch. Its elegant gold guilloché calendar dial, glazed on both sides, is characteristic of the exceptional level of craftsmanship devoted to these highly complicated watches.
