Notes

Predating the legendary Carrera, the Reference 2447 represents the genesis of Heuer’s dedication to precision chronographs. Produced in the 1950s, this model embodies the brand’s transition from utilitarian timing instruments to refined wristwatches designed for professional use and everyday wear alike.

The present example features a beautifully balanced dial layout with applied indexes, subsidiary registers, and original radium-filled hands, now aged to a warm, green hue that testifies to the passage of time. Its robust stainless steel case captures the functional elegance that would later define the Carrera line.

A piece of early Heuer history, the Ref. 2447 “Pre-Carrera” remains a cornerstone for collectors, a chronograph that bridges the tool-watch tradition of the brand’s early years with the design purity of its golden era.
