Notes

Property of the original Italian family
Part of the very first series characterised by the large sub-counters as well as the full lume hands. This example has always remained in the original family. Fabio Mangilli Marquis of San Gallo di Moggio (Flumignano 1911 - Udine 1986). He began to ride on horseback as a child in the family stables, immediately showing his passion and talent. In 1931 he volunteered for cavalry and during the war he was decorated with a silver medal for saving his captain with heroic action. A participant in the London Olympics of 1948, he later participated in numerous national and international competitions, winning numerous medals. As a federal technician, he led the Italian team to complete the gold medal in the single and team competition at the Tokyo Olympics. He continued his career as an international federal judge.
