Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer, the manufacture became TAG Heuer in 1985, when TAG acquired Heuer. Heuer was famously known for its chronographs, especially due to the creation of the calibre 11, first self-winding movement for chronographs, in the mid 1960’s. The movement is a Lemania 5100 caliber which was launched in 1978 and used by Heuer beginning in 1983.
