The Heuer Autavia Skipper (reference 7763 on the case but commercialised with reference 7764) was the first Skipper reference made by the company in that case. The slightly earlier version was made in a Carrera case reference 7754 and features colourful subdials reminiscent of the shades used on the boat Intrepid, that went on to win the America's cup in 1970 for the second time. Made for a very short period, this marked the last of the Skipper fitted in a round case not featuring a date and rarely appear at auction (some scholars believe that less of a dozen are known to exist).
