Stainless steel, manual-winding, “tonneau”-shaped, gentleman’s wristwatch, water-resistant with screwed case-back, the movement protected by a cap against dust and humidity; silver colour dial with subsidiary seconds at 9 and two horological complications:
· 1/5 second chronograph (activated by the two round-shaped push-pieces) with tachometric scale graduated in an Archimedean spiral for 1 000 metres
· Half-instantaneous 30-minute counter (subsidiary dial at 3 o’clock)

The calibre Valjoux 23 and the Swiss Horological Schools

This calibre – one of the most famous in the history of 20th century watchmaking – has often been used by students of horological schools to complete their learning on chronographs.

Thus, one finds with dials of the Ecole Professionnelle d’Horlogerie (Professional School of Watchmaking) of the Vallée de Joux, the Technicum of La Chaux-de-Fonds but also of the Atelier d’Apprentissage d’Horlogerie (Workshop of Apprenticeship of Horology) of Porentruy (Jura), etc.
