HUX - QUEEN VICTORIA ROYAL PRESENTATION GOLD WATCH Hux & Sons, Spencer Street, London, No. 20164. The case with London hallmarks for 1861-1862. Fine and rare, Royal presentation, 18K gold pocket watch engraved with the coat of Arms of Queen Victoria. Accompanied by an 18K gold chain and key and letters patent document of 1857 for Jules Dufau attached with the wax great seal of Queen Victoria and the original deed box embossed with the Royal arms.
Four-body, 'bassine et filets', polished, coin-edge band, the back cover engraved with the coat of arms of Queen Victoria. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 41 mm., matte gilt, three-quarter plate, fusee and chain, jeweled to the third wheel, two in screwed chatons, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring, diamond endstone, index regulator.
