IMHOF LES AGES DE LA VIE CLOCK WITH LIMOGES STYLE PAINTED ENAMEL DIAL ImHof, Swiss, No. 1802483, Ref. 24/441 Ethe enamel signed "Richon". Made circa 1960. Fine, square, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking, gilt brass desk clock with Limoges-style painted on enamel dial.

Gilt-brass, brushed and polished, fluted corner pillars, dial frame pivoted to access the winding and hand-setting, hinged handle and square feet. Square, painted on enamel in the Limoges style with a 16th century-style scene of two couples representing youth and old age in a landscape, gilded highlights, applied giltbrass chapter ring with triangular hour indexes and Roman quarter-hours, translucent royal blue enamel border. Giltbrass scrolled baton hands. 8-day, nickel, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, rack and screw regulator, striking on the interior of the "bell" movement cover.
