INVICTA QUARTER REPEATING & CHRONOGRAPH YELLOW GOLD Invicta, Swiss, "Répétition", case No. 81016. Made circa 1900. Fine, large, 14K gold, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter- repeating, pocket watch with chronograph.
Four-body, "bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the prize medals, glazed gold rimmed cover over the movement. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute and fifth of a second chronograph divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel spade hands. Cal. 21```, frosted gilt, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by depressing a push button on the band, centrifugal governor. Cuvette signed.
