IWC Taschenuhr Savonnette Pocket Watch International Watch Company, Schaffhausen. Ref. 5408, case No. 2274986, made in 2002. Very fine and rare 18K yellow gold hunting-cased limited edition pocket watch with enamel scene of the Munot, a medieval fortress designed by Albrecht Durer, to the front and the Rhine Falls to the reserve, both being famous scenes from Schaffhausen. Accompanied by an associated IWC box, blank papers and extracts featuring the ref. 5408 from an IWC brochure.

C. Five-body, solid, polished, enamel scenes to the hinged cover and reverse, glazed cuvette, wreath decorated outer to the front and reverse, polished band. D. Silvered, black Roman numerals with outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XV style hands. M. Cal. 982, gold-finished with fausses cotes decoration, captive barrel, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, blued steel overcoil hairspring, whiplash regulation. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam 50 mm. Thickness 11.5 mm.
