IWC Der Doppelchronograph IWC, (International Watch Co.), Schaffhausen, " Der Doppelchronograph", No. 12, case No. 2563262, Ref. 3713. Made in a limited edition in the 1990s. Very fine and rare, heavy, self-winding, water resistant, platinum wristwatch with round button split-seconds chronograph, registers, day and date, and a platinum IWC buckle. Accompanied by fitted box, warranty and booklet.
C. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, soft iron core to provide an anti-magnetic shield, protected push-buttons, sapphire crystal. D. Blue with luminous indexes and silver Arabic numerals, outer silver minute and fifths of a second track with Arabic five minute/ seconds numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, apertures for the days of the week and the date. Luminous steel baton hands. M. Cal. 79230, rhodium-plated, fausses-cotes decoration, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shockabsorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator, hack mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 42 mm. Thickness 16 mm.
