Transitional Big Pilot International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, Die Grosse Fliegeruhr (The Big Pilot?s Watch), Automatic, case No. 3170664, Ref. 5002. Made in 2005, sold February 1st, 2006. Fine, large, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel aviator's wristwatch with 7-day power-reserve, date and a stainless steel IWC deployant clasp. Accompanied by a wooden fitted box, booklet and Guarantee.

Cal. 5011, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 44 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, bidirectional rotor engraved ?IWC - Probus Scafusia - Seven (7) Days Power-Reserve?, hack mechanism. Notes

The Big Pilot is one of the most popular IWC watches. Originally with a Cal. 50110 2,5Hz movement (18,000 half beats per hour), a few of the 5002 series with serial numbers 3145XXX and above used the new 3Hz (21,600 hbph) Cal. 51110 movement, as in Ref. 5004. The transitional 5002 examples feature the Probus style Crown that replaced the fish-symbol design. They are desirable for their transitional status.
