IWC SILVER JUMP HOUR POCKET WATCH WITH PAINTED ENAMEL DIAL International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, Swiss, No. 8473. Made circa 1890. Fine and very rare, silver and painted on enamel, keyless pocket watch using J. Pallweber's English Patent No. 5863, from 8 December 1882 for digital jump-hours and minutes.

M. 18''', gilt brass, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. I.W.C. trademark on the movement. Diam. 52 mm.
