IWC, MARK IX, "SPECIAL WATCH FOR PILOTS" IWC (International Watch Co.), Schaffhausen, "Mark IX", movement No. 945760, case No. 987932. Made circa 1935 Fine and very rare, water-resistant, stainless steel staybrite aviator's wristwatch with inner revolving bezel.

Three-body, polished and brushed, concave lugs, revolving bezel with large triangle indicator, snap-on protective dust cap and case back. Black with white painted luminous Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Luminous skeleton hands. Cal. 83, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring.
