Notes

The IWC Ingenieur SL Ref. 1832, the third generation of this series launched in 1976, encapsulates Gérald Genta’s pioneering vision for luxury sports watches with its distinctive stainless steel design. Known as the «Jumbo» due to its larger case size, this model features a bold aesthetic with a screw-on bezel adorned with five recesses, a special dial pattern, and an integrated steel bracelet with H-links, setting a new standard in watch design. Despite its innovative appeal, the Ingenieur SL did not initially achieve widespread commercial success, with just over 1,000 units produced over the years. However, its rarity and unique design have since made it a highly sought-after collector’s item.
