IWC REF. 3714 PORTUGUESE CHRONOGRAPH AUTOMATIC STEEL International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, "Portuguese Chronograph Automatic", case No. 2697565, Ref. 3714. Made circa 1998. Very fine, large, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, register and a stainless steel IWC buckle. Accompanied by a fitted box, instruction booklet, inter-national guarantee, hang tag and booklets.

Three-body, polished and brushed, overhanging bezel, concave lugs, case back with 4 screws, domed sapphire crystal. Matte black with applied steel Arabic numerals, outer dot minute divisions, outer most 1/5th seconds scale with 5-minute/seconds Arabic markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Steel feuille hands. Cal. 79240, gilt brass, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, shock absorber, selfcompensating flat balance spring, hack mechanism.
