Started around 1981, the IWC Portofino with moon phases was produced in low numbers and exact production quantities remain unknown (some scholars think about 350 pieces). Based on a large pocket watch movement the caliber 9521 exhibiting the high quality finish of early IWC pocket watches, this 46 mm dress watch is already a classic for IWC collectors and rarely appears at auction.
