Made in celebration of the firm’s 150th anniversary, it was logical that they produced a limited edition Jubilee Portuguese replicating the original from the 1940’s. From the oversize 42 mm case, to the dial, the embossed Arabic numerals to the feuille hands, it could only be a huge success. IWC indicates that many of the original owners of the Portuguese back in the 40’s had transparent backs made so they could admire the original movement which is a feature they fitted on the limited edition watch. Made in 250 pieces in platinum, 500 pieces in pink gold and 1000 in steel.
