JAMES SCHULZ STERLING SILVER SPLIT-SECOND CHRONOGRAPH James Schulz, Genève & New York, case No.16377. Made in the 1930's. Fine and rare, sterling silver pocket watch with coaxial button split-second chronograph, tachometer and telemeter.
Four-body, "bassine et filets," polished, hinged case back and cuvette, coaxial button in the crown for the start/stop and return to- zero of the chronograph, button for the split-seconds at 11. Satine silver with painted Breguet numerals, outer 1/5th seconds track with Arabic five minute/second markers, most outer red telemeter scale, concentric spiral tachometer scale, subsidiary dials for the seconds at 6 and 30- minute register at 12. Blued steel Breguet hands. Cal. 22''', rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
