AERO WATCH, VENUS & CUPID AFTER REMBRANDT Aero Watch, Neuchatel, Swiss, case No. 113. Retailed by Jacques, Horloger. Made circa 1960. Very fine, 18K yellow gold and painted on enamel keyless dress watch.
Two-body, bassine, polished, curved band, the back painted on enamel with Rembrandt's Venus and Cupid, indistinctly signed. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and red 24-hour numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 36 mm., gilt with oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self compensating flat balance spring, incabloc shock absorber, micrometer regulator.
