Notes

"Reverso.? In 1930, Cesar de Trey, a Swiss traveler in India, invented a watch that could be turned over to protect its dial and crystal from the dusty polo fields of the then British colony. He approached the Swiss company LeCoultre with his idea. The case was developed by the Jaeger company in France, with engineer René-Alfred Chauvet preparing the production drawings. The Reverso is one of the company?s most successful wristwatches, and a true icon.
