C. Rectangular, gilt brass, brushed and polished, the sides and front panel decorated in imitation of marble, transparent door, aperture to view the pendulum and a stepped plinth base. D. Brushed gilt chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, fleurde- lys half-hour indexes. Gilt ?Breguet? hands. M. Cal. 526-5, gilt brass, vacuum chamber winding the going barrel, leverescapement driven by annular tension pendulum, locking screw in the base below the pendulum disc, spirit level.
