Minute-Repeater & Split-Seconds Chronograph LeCoultre & Co., Geneva. Made for the American market, circa 1900. Very fine and rare, 18K rose gold, huntingcased, minute-repeating keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", engineturned, polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track and redpainted Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals, outermost seconds divided into fifths, subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XV hands. M. 19???, ?adjusted?, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 36 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
