Eight-Day Going Watch with Calendar Czapek & Cie, a Geneve, ?Montre a Huit Jours?, No. 7081, the movement by E. LeCoultre. Made circa 1850. Fine and extremely rare, small, 8-Day going, twin-barrel pocket watch with day of the week calendar.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, engineturned with polished borders, reeded band. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, offset subsidiary seconds at 7, parallel dial for days of the week at 5. Blued steel fleur-de-lys hands. M. 40 mm., frosted gilt special bar calibre, 19 jewels, twin mainspring barrels with tandem winding facilitated by two polished steel 5-spoke wheels, counterpoised and calibrated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, curved index regulator, now with calendar work converted from the original powerreserve mechanism. Cuvette signed, movement signed E. LeCoultre on the dial plate. Diam. 47 mm.
