E. H. Jaccard & Cie. Minute Repeating, Triple Date & Chronograph E. H. Jaccard & Cie., Genève, the movement by LeCoultre & Cie, "Repetition à Quarts & à Minutes, Chronographe Triple Quantieme Phases Lunaires", No. 31471. Made circa 1890. Very fine, 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating pocket watch with triple date calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
C. Four body, massive, "pomme et gouges", engine-turned, the front cover with a vacant cartouche. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week and the seconds with inner moon phase aperture, aperture for the months below 12. Gold spade hands. M. 20''', frosted gilt, 32 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensaion balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, chronograph with visible work activated by a push-piece in the band. Case and cuvette signed E.J. Jaccard & Cie, movement signed LeCoultre & Cie under the hour hammer. Diam. 59 mm.
