Cartier - Concealed Dial - Back-Winder Cartier, France, "Duo-Plan," movement made by Jaeger-LeCoultre, case No. 23957, Ref. No. 5668. Made in the 1930s. Fine, rare and unusual, rectangular, 18K yellow gold lady's wristwatch with concealed dial and an 18K yellow gold deployant clasp.
C. Three-body, solid, polished, spring-loaded sliding cover, hinged case back. D. Matte silver with painted black Arabic numerals. Blued steel spade hands. M. 4 1/2''', baguette, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, lateral lever escapement, split bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, case numbered. Dim. 17 x 34 mm. Thickness 7 mm.
