Gilt brass, the top and sides with Japanese-style black lacquer panels decorated with butterfl ies, polished and brushed, stepped plinth base, leveling screws and spirit level in the base, brushed gilt-brass back. D. Black lacquer decorated with butterfl ies to match the case, aperture to view the pendulum with locking slide above. Gilt Breguet hands. M. Cal. 540, gilt brass, vacuum chamber winding the going barrel, lever escapement driven by annular torsion pendulum. Case and movement signed. Dim. Height 22.5 cm., width 20 cm., depth 15.5 cm.
