Partner's clocks rose in popularity in the early to mid 20th century and were produced by
companies including Jaeger-LeCoutre and Cartier through the 1960s. They were a convenient
way for two workers at a desk opposite one another to have a shared timekeeping
device. The following three lots provide an overview of the diversity of design and materials
that can be found with partner's clocks. The Cartier is a rare example in which the time
display is partnered, but each side has an additional complication - indicating temperature
and humidity (hygrometer) respectively.
