CARTIER BY LECOULTRE DAY & DATE STEEL Cartier, Swiss, No. 97662, case No. 45345, Cartier Ref. 9696. Made circa 1936 by LeCoultre. Very fine and very rare, rectangular, stainless steel wristwatch with day and date.

C. Two-body, polished and brushed, lapidated bezel, extended triangular lugs, snap-on case back. D. Black with painted radial Arabic numerals and baton indexes, concentric minute track and graduation for the days of the month, aperture for the days of the week, subsidiary seconds dial. Luminous blued steel epee hands, red arrow for the date. M. Cal. 59, 8 ½???, tonneau, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, blued steel fl at balance spring. Dial signed Cartier, case and movement signed LeCoultre. Dim. 24 x 41 mm. Thickness 9 mm.
