JAEGER-LECOULTRE REF. 998 CHRONO TRIPLE DATE STEEL Jaeger-LeCoultre, "Triple Date Calendar Chronograph," Ref. 998. Made in the late 1950's. Fine and rare, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers and triple date calendar.

Two-body, polished and brushed, lapidated lugs, correctors on the band, screw-down case back. Matte silver with applied steel faceted baton indexes and Arabic 12, apertures for the days of the week and the months, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 30-minute and 12-hour registers, outer ring with the days of the month in blue painted Arabic numerals. Steel dauphine hands, red arrow hand for the date. Cal. 723, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, blued steel flat balance spring.
