The case of this watch is actually made of three pieces, one of which – the one on the outside – serves as a protection for the water resistance. This is held to the case by two snap hooks.

Omega also used this patent in its “Marine” model, whose cases were made by Francis Baumgartner in Geneva.

Case based on the Swiss invention patent No. 146 310, delivered on March 10, 1930, to Louis Alix, Geneva, for a “Boîtier étanche de montre-bracelet”. This invention was also patented in the following countries: France, under No. 710 316; Great Britain, under No. 365 356; Germany, under No. 567 213; U.S.A., under No. 1 907 700. This type of case was used after 1932 by Omega in its “Marine” model.
