DAVID "HONEYBOY" EDWARDS, CLARKSDALE, MS, 2011

LINER NOTES "Honeyboy" was the last of the true Delta Blues singers; a contemporary and musical partner of Robert Johnson. The Juke Joint Festival was to be his last public performance. He was 96 at the time and still very sharp. We spoke, reminisced about mutual friends and a portrait session I did with him and others in 2000. As we said goodbye, he grasped and shook my hand very firmly. He was gone a couple of months later. -Joe Rosen
