JOE STRUMMER, LONDON, 1985
LINER NOTES Joe Strummer and Mick Jones were secretly
working together again on what would become the soundtrack
to Sid and Nancy, the film by Alex Cox. Joe and I were waiting
in the street outside Mick's house in London before we went
to the studio. I bet Joe we could do a whole photo session
and develop the film before Mick even woke up. I shot some
Polaroid 35 mm slide film took out my little portable developer
and produced the shots right there on the pavement. Proof of
the alchemy when silver and chemicals are combined with the
spirit of the man and $5 dollar sunglasses.-Josh Cheuse
