JULES JURGENSEN SPLIT-SECONDS CHRONOGRAPH Jules Jürgensen, Est.d Copenhagen, 1740, No. 16964. Made circa 1915. Very fine and rare, thin, 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch with split seconds chronograph and instantaneous 30-minute register.

Four-body, "demi-bassine", polished, co-axial button in the crown for start/stop and return-to-zero of the chronograph hand, button at 11 o`clock for the split-seconds and re-join, slide at 11 for locking the chronograph,. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track and concentric red painted fifth of a second indexes, outer Arabic five minute/second numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6, 30-minute register at 12. Blued steel Breguet hands. 17''', rhodium-plated, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to all positions and temperatures, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.
