JULES JURGENSEN INDEPENDANT CENTER-SECONDS FOUDROYANTE WITH "SECRET MECHANISM" YELLOW GOLD Jules Jürgensen, Swiss, No. 9969/40245. Made in 1865. Very fine, rare and early independent center-seconds 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch with foudroyante. Accompanied by a copy of the Jurgensen archive in the amout of CHF 669.18.

Four-body, "bassine", polished, reeded band, engine turned caseback, secret button in the band for start/stop mechanism of the foudroyante.. White enamel with black radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. 19''', 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, large index regulator, special lever for time setting within the border.
