Extremely fine and equally rare, massive and heavy, 18K pink gold, minute-repeating, hunting-cased pocket watch with perpetual calendar, chronograph, instantaneous 30-minute register and moon phases. Accompanied by the copy of the Jules Jurgensen archive.

Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished band, polished covers, the front cover with engraved monogram ,button at 12 for the start/ stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track concentric with fifths of a second divisions, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, date, months of the four-year cycle , aperture for the moon phases with lunar calendar combined with seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. 20```, matte gilt three-quarter-plate, 23 jewels, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case and cuvette signed, case numbered.

Part of the MICHEL SIMON collection sold by ANTIQUORUM in January 1977 (Lot 214) this impressive perpetual calendar minute repeating chronograph is one of the largest ever produced by the firm. Weighing an amazing 264 gramms, it is interesting to note that according to the archives it was ordered by the CONSULATE OF THE UNITED STATES in BASEL in the amount of CHF 2316.30.
