JULES JURGENSEN OPENFACE POCKET WATCH YELLOW GOLD Jules Jürgensen, Swiss, No. 12868. Made circa 1872. Very fine 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch with Jûrgensen's patent bow hand setting, patented in 1867. Accompanied by a copy of the Jurgensen archive in the amout of CHF 431.85.
Four-body, "bassine", polished, Jürgensen's patented bow hand setting White enamel with black radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. 15 1/2''', 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement with elongated fork, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, large index regulator with engraved scale on the center bridge.
