Chromium-plated metal and stainless steel, manual-winding, tonneau-shaped, military wristwatch, with screwed case-back, revolving graduated bezel, black colour lacquered dial with luminescent suspended Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 9 and two horological complications:
• 1/5 chronograph (activated by the two round-shaped push-pieces) with outer ring divided in 100
• Half-instantaneous 30-minute counter (subsidiary dial at 3 o’clock)

Société Anonyme La Spirotechnique, Paris and Nice
Société française (sise avenue Carros, Nice, France) de matériel de plongée sous-marine créée en 1946 comme département de la société l’Air Liquide pour commercialiser les inventions du Commandant Jean-Yves Cousteau et d’Emile Gagnan. Elle a changé de nom en 2003 pour devenir La Spirotechnique – Aqualung. En plus du matériel de plongée proprement dit (bouteilles d’air et détendeurs) elle fabriqua aussi des accessoires comme les boussoles.Dès la fin des années 1950, elle produisit une première boussole à bracelet développée par Serge Vez, le modèle « VZ ».
