JURGENSEN PIVOTED DETENT CHRONOMETER Jules Jürgensen, Copenhagen, Den(mark), ?Chronometre?, case No. 9339. Made circa 1860. Very fine, hunting-cased, 18K yellow gold pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement.

C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, engine-turned, polished borders, reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds dial. Jurgensen-type gold and diamond-set hands. M. 42 mm., Cal. 19???, frosted gilt, jeweled to the third wheel, chronometer escapement with pivoted detent, jewelled locking stone, the detent pivot and escape wheel pivot with gold caps, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing screws, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed. DIAM. 49 mm.
