A very fine and rare, 18k gold, manual wind double coin case, coin-opening with a concealed push-piece in the band, three-body hinged inner case. Matte silvered dial with painted baton hour markers. Gold baton hands. The front features the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom in high relief, surmounted by the Imperial State Crown, with the date “4 AUGUST 1980” below. The reverse bears an official bust portrait of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, surrounded by the inscription “TO CELEBRATE THE 80TH BIRTHDAY OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER • 1980”.
